Clarke was approached to create the look and feel for SAP’s annual Sapphire Now conference, based on SAP’s corporate identity. Taking inspiration from the name, a suite of sapphire gems were developed as graphic elements to be used in playful ways, creating a system that’s vibrant, bold and optimistic.

A flexible system, it was easily extended and animated across all applications, including one-sheet flyers, social media posts, video graphics, and other digital products.

When SAP’s Sapphire conference was forced online due to COVID-19, they asked us to help design and produce an online marketing campaign., highlighting key speakers. With a just 2 weeks to go before the conference, we were quick to roll up our sleeves and get to work.

Working with SAP Sapphire’s existing visual identity, we created an overall design to help the campaign stand out – yet retain the visual DNA of other marketing efforts. Our flexible system could easily be extended and animated across all applications, making it simple for the team to create a cohesive feel for the event.

Our social media strategy was highly targeted. Focusing on a set of bold key messages, we hoped to quickly convey the disruptive spirit of the conference, and showcase important choice-drivers (the quality of the speakers, ease of access through the new digital platform).

The work made an immediate impression, increasing engagement and, ultimately, driving attendance – a campaign as impactful as SAP Sapphire itself.
